7:50 PM – Zeeshan Shafquat Malik graces the stage. He is one of Pakistan’s premier bloggers, and tells us the story of how he overcame his fear. “I had to overcome my fear and take adventurous steps.”

7:35 PM – Saad Hamid, one of the first TEDx-ers in Islamabad prepares a fabulous slideshow sharing how he became a TED Fellow and how each one of us can join the party.

5:40 PM – Rehmat Ullah Kundi, an electronic inventor has graced the stage, and is now walking the audience through his personal journey.

5:32 PM – Potatoes have 38 chromosomes – 2 more than people, and the same as a gorilla.

5:30 PM – Isn’t it incredible that we can’t reach each others’ minds?

5:03 PM – Bernard Amadei, co-founder of Engineers Without Borders, steps up to the stage to talk to us about science and technology and says, “My job is to create intelligent engineers.”

4:45 PM – Hurmat ul Ain, a lecturer at the NUST School of Art, Design and Architecture is sharing her work as an artist – a videographer – and talking about what it takes to understand your art, and know when to stop, and when to go on to be magnificent.

4:30 PM – The event kicks off with Curator Salman Saeed coming up on stage to share his story, how he became involved with TED and what TEDxRawalLake really means to him. “There is no shortcut to success – believe me.” Salman started him career online with pure determination, starting blogs and using every opportunity to learn.
